I had the opportunity to step outside my comfort zone and do something I’ve been thinking about for a while—my first live video on TikTok! I won’t lie, I was super nervous. The idea of going live, with people watching me in real-time, gave me a bit of anxiety. But as soon as I started, it felt like everything fell into place, and I ended up having such a fun time!
I was live for about an hour, and during that time, I worked on a fun little crochet project—mini octopuses in multiple colors! It's actually a pretty quick crochet project, which made it perfect for a live stream. I got to show my process while chatting with viewers, and the best part? I got 25 views! It may not sound like a lot, but for my first time, it felt amazing to have people tuning in to watch what I was creating.
Even though I was nervous, the experience made me realize just how much I love connecting with others through my craft. I’m already looking forward to my next live session. I still get butterflies thinking about it, but I’m excited to keep pushing through that nervousness and sharing more of my work. This is just the beginning for me, and I can’t wait to kick off my business in even more ways!
If you’re thinking about going live or trying something new, take the leap! It’s okay to feel nervous—just keep going, and you might surprise yourself with how much you enjoy it. Stay tuned for more updates on my crochet journey and upcoming live sessions!
